Information Services & Apps
A lot of data and information accumulate in production, which for performance reasons are made available only as live values. Historical data is lost. The information services as optional components in the Control plus system close precisely this gap. They record, process and store the real-time control data and make the information available in the apps provided and via IT interfaces. This makes it possible to operate a machine at maximum speed without having to do without historical data.
Don't miss our novelties
Machine control rethought
The second generation of the Control plus system is based on the first generation and contains all the functions of the V1 with a specific development focus on user interaction during operation. The user interface has been evaluated through numerous user tests to ensure optimal operation of the system. This represents an enormous added value compared to the V1. The seamless integration of the assistance systems into the user interface is also one of the results of the user tests. Thus, the 3D navigation integrates itself just as seamlessly into the operation as, for example, the cycle time analysis or other assistance and analysis functions.
Control plus V2 is licensed based on the performance of the control hardware used. This reduces the license price for e.g. small manual assembly stations compared to large automatic machines. Control plus V2 is our current product version which is constantly being expanded with new functions. For example, the control system ctrlX from Rexroth will be supported next year. Look forward to further exciting and useful functions in Control plus V2.
The Control plus HMI is the operator interface and the point of contact for the operating and service staff at the machine. It offers a standardized framework that can also be extended by Nexeed apps. Nexeed apps are small stand-alone applications that provide added value in the form of additional evaluations or displays. Control plus already contains some of these apps. In addition to a parts counter that displays production statistics, these also include an event history or shift planning. They are directly integrated into the user interface by means of status tiles.
Nexeed apps also exist for other Nexeed products. For example, the Nexeed MES also offers apps that display MES data. The apps are designed so that you can also develop and integrate your own apps.

This data can be read from other systems via modern IT interfaces such as WCF or REST. The recorded data is merged with other relevant information within the machine.
These "context packages" can combine temperature, vibration and time data, for example. In this way, faults can be narrowed down more precisely and linked to other events. The setting up of rules enables the machine to respond automatically, for example in the event of limit violations. This enables the machine to react in the event of subsequent errors or cycle time deviations — with an email, a maintenance ticket or an automatic machine stoppage. Supplied shopfloor apps allow the stored data to be displayed clearly. This means that analyses such as top-10 evaluations or cycle time analyses can be carried out directly at the machine. The apps are designed in such a way that they can also be used in other environments without any problems.
Analysis tools help the users with commissioning, optimization and troubleshooting in the machine. They use existing information from the machine and prepare it in a clearly structured and easy-to-understand interface. The tools detect deviations from desired states and provide clues to potential causes. The use of the analysis tools is not tied to the machine computer. Users can run analyses on their office PC and results can be discussed more easily between colleagues.
In addition to our standard products, the Nexeed portfolio offers further products that can be useful for machine builders and operators. These include the Remote Shopfloor Access (RSA), which provides secure remote access to machines. Another solution is the Nexeed Automation ECAE sample wiring diagram, which can be used to create electrical diagrams in EPLAN.
